Studying Life

When making the “Seasonal Series,” I went outside and wanted to put myself out there, letting nature be my main focus that day. Whenever I was sketching trees, tall grass, bark, insects, rocks, and more, I was on my phone and seeing multiple seasons in different colors and forms. I had been practicing watercolor at the time so then I decided to take a leaf and create a series of watercolor works that represented the seasons. It was a fun making process of light and shade and form and I would do it again next time with a different focus study.
