Graphics and What To Watch Out For
Graphic Design, to me, revolves around what you want, or what the person wants… something like that. Art is subjective. There is no right or wrong, but there is. When it comes down to what YOU know you want, it will be easy, simple, and understanding, even when you explain it to others, but when it comes down to the people you provide that artistic service for, that would be a tear-jerker.
I’ve had many platforms to perform good 2D - 3D Graphic Designs like Adobe Illustrator, AutoDesk Sketchbook, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, and even making Microsoft custom templates for a page, but there will always be that one little detail you have to look out for, along with the others that follow.
NODES
Something I learned a while ago is that certain areas of the smooth/geometric design were nodes. Simple enough, nodes are directions of the graphic’s form that need to be put in a continuing place. Say there was a node on a perfect FRESHMEN font “O” I was doing for someone and that node made the letter go wonky on one end, causing it to look like a non-symmetrical product. This is something I have to look out for even if it was 0.003 degrees off, so I encourage others to follow the same.
COLOR USAGE
As printing goes a long way, copy printers to industrial printers can copy almost anything, but when the years teach you different colors and color theory, there is more to learn. There are colors that printers may not recognize like CMYK, RGB, and PANTONE, and some will have all of them. Many people can’t tell a difference between the color RED when comparing them to all the three types I listed, but there are shades that make a big difference.
More and more things you will need to be aware of when making use of your design is at its most promising standard. You don’t want to settle with acceptable. You don’t even want to settle. Do more and learn more. Apply your dedication to detail at its highest measure. Allow your creativity to run wild, yes, but allow your eye to view it and know how great it would turn out.
